leslie hall

Leslie hall was the blogger that brought my attention the most. She made me proud of who i am and the size of my body she didn’t care how big she was she expressed herself how a pretty women with a bottle shaped body would of have in a music video. She goes out of the social dorms that the united states have set in or revolve around, for example the artist Eminem was made a big deal because he is a "white" male rapper, and now Leslie hall is showing that she doesn't about the social norms that the world puts on people and she does the complete opposite of what a white female will do. Not only rap but also make herself look older and wear clothes that a young 20 year old would not wear ever. It seems like Leslie hall wants to make everyone seem normal land motivate those that think they don’t fit in society to not give a f*ck about what people have to say about them.
Something else that brought my attention was also the way she would take a shirt and bedazzle it and make it a trend that she will use and hope to bring back the old school trends into what is now the present trends. I think that Leslie hall is just doing her and living life the way she wants to live and doesn’t care about what the trends are and what the norms are, she is what you call today an independent girl with a creative mind that thinks to herself and doesn’t give a crap about what people think is weird or not.
Another thing that she has brought back to the present is the hairstyle she has, she has a mullet cut which is a hairstyle that died off and that is very rare to see now a days. She is what you call a person stuck in the past but then again she didn’t live in that era of life were having a mullet as hairstyle was seen as awesome.
Another area which she has broke norms is the videos she has of her rapping the quality and the way that it choreographed is not very professional like and at the end any cd label would think that her video is a fail and should not be shown to the world cause of humiliation that the artist would face, but its obvious that she doesn’t care and just does the video and seems very energetic and happy in what she is doing.

At the end people come to like someone that’s different and is not afraid to express themselves however they want.  Even though some may say that she’s dumb and she doesn’t know what shes doing I totally  like what she’s doing cause it just comes to show that there are haters out there that wish could be as open as she is and be themselves and not live life the way that we are told to live it. And overall I think that’s she is pointing out the norms that young adult women face in the fashion industry and the way they do there hair and the way that celebrity’s have put and impact in the way they dress and follow.

blue pill or red pill?

If I was given the option in taking either a red or blue pill, meaning if I take the red pill I would stay in wonderland and see how deep the rabbit hole goes , and if I take the blue pill the story ends, I wake up in my bed and believe whatever I want to believe. I think that any creative person will never let this opportunity pass by, I mean it’s the only chance that you will get to find out the truth.  Any person that takes the blue must be very un curious person that doesn’t care about themselves and living there lives because if so they would have chose the red pill to find out what the world is really about and to find all the answers that “god” was going provide them with.  Taking the red pill provides you with a fun filled adventure that’s going to be out of the ordinary and un boring unlike the way he, “neo” was living, seemed like he could care less about himself. Taking the blue pill will leave you hanging from what the truth really is and knowing that you had that decision whether or not you to know it.  Therefore implying my creative thinking class into this assignment I may assume that if  you choose the blue pill then you have not learn anything from this class and that taking risks and not being afraid to be wrong is the correct way to choose in order to become more creative not only by the actions you do but also how you perceive them and conclude with them. Therefore this was test whether or not we were as brave as neo was to take a risk and seek for the truth and be “creative” and not just go along with life like if nothing has happen.  Therefore I have chosen the red pill and seek out creativity and have found that creativity doesn’t just come to you but you have to be in search of it.

Examined life

The philosopher I'm choosing to write about is Peter Singer, he seemed like a philosopher that made more sense than the other ones introduced in the movie, examined life. I got more out of him and was less work to understand. Some of the ideas that the philosopher talked about was that us people in the world care more about top brands and that a person has to double think about taking off expensive shoes before jumping into a pond with a drowning kid in it, as the analogy that the philosopher gave. I think that he is correct because people now a days are more materialistic and care more about there things than they do about themselves. But i guess his point of view of this is that shoes that cost 300 dollars are worth more to be taken off because with that money you can save more people than you would by jumping into the water with them and ruining the shoes. I guess that can be true but it sounds so wrong to be doing such a thing to a child though i mean if you can save a life at that precise moment i don't think it would matter how much the shoes are as long as you save a life, a son of god is worth more than anything out there in the world. The philosopher also states that applied ethics challenges norms, so from this i'm guessing it means that something that is ethical in the world challenges the norms around us because norms are different all over the world so you never know where some ethical ways are accepted and not, making it be a challenge to norms. Peter Singer also states that we have a moral obligation to help and not hurt. This is true because in society today the last thing that someone wants to be known as is the bad guy and someone that is no help to society, we want to be known as the good, warm hearted person that everyone does and for that, we have moral obligation to help and not hurt. He also talks about why we as humans have the entitlement to be able to kill weaker animals like cows and pigs. What makes us be more powerful then them? We are all the same here in the world trying to survive while we are the people that are the ones not letting these animals live there lives that they were suppose to live, all because we humans like the taste of the flesh of certain animals. I mean don't get me wrong i love meat, and its not my fault i was put into the category of a carnivore that likes eating animals. If i was raised different and thought to love animals and not eat them i would probably turn out to be a non meat eater.
